Strategies in Car Body Engineering 2019
Incl. car body presentations and a focus session on electric car
Managing complexity, enabling flexibility
At a time in which the automotive industry is undergoing a lot of changes, most OEMs are currently choosing not to limit their product range - on the contrary. There seems to be an ever-growing number of vehicle variants, different drive systems and car body derivatives.
One of the most relevant questions, therefore, is which strategies for successfully managing this increasing complexity are currently being implemented, and with what effect. How do you realize the greatest possible flexibility while ensuring maximum production efficiency? What are your solutions for the latest challenges in car body engineering?
Each year, this conference offers a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements in car body engineering. This year, it is also going to provide in-depth analyses regarding a specific deep dive topic, a special focus session is dedicated to the topic of platform concepts.
In the area of tension between the often conflicting priorities of maximum flexibility and maximum efficiency, OEMs approach the issue of vehicle architecture and platform strategy in completely different ways, ranging from relatively fixed platform models to more modular approaches to a completely flexible vehicle architecture.
Take part in the discussion – we would be very pleased to welcome you in Bad Nauheim in April!
The conference is aimed at
Body construction engineers from international automotive manufacturers with strategic responsibilities in (pre)development, planning and production, as well as relevant system suppliers, within the whole process chain "painted car body", from press plant to the body shop and paint shop.
